![]() ![]() each character are presented with different details to the story, something that FP2 fails to do because 90% of the time, cutscene dialogue is re-used, and because the game is like 2x longer than FP1, seeing the same cutscene again and again is tiresome.įP2 has better gameplay, but also feels really copy and pasted. Oh but you see, I love Megaman ZX, and that game have 2 protagonists that goes basically through the same adventure BUT. FP2 makes you play eeeeevery stage with everyone no matter the story contition, something that FP1 didn't do, we had exclusive stages there and it made stuff way more exciting, since you get to reallly see each characters perspective even if it was for only one stage per character, the game is short enough that make those moments really shine. ![]() I wouldn't feel like this if playing as each character brought more to the table, other than the fact that you get like, 3 different cutscenes with each character (in case of Carol, a quite different second half), and the different move sets that each character has. if you did this with one character, you're going to do the same with the rest. In FP2, collectibles are hidden in generic spots, because everyone needs to reach it somehow, so originality is out the window for FP2 in that department.Īnd it's the same for the Museum, Time Capsules, purchasable items. "You got this one with Carol? Nice! Go get the same one with Milla! And Lilac! And Neera!" While in the first game, you had 10 cards for each stage before Final Dreadnought 1~4 and your progress is shared between characters, so you had incentive to explore the stages in many different ways with multiple characters. The same goes for collectibles like music vinyls for each stage. Time attacks are the same for all characters, if you gotta beat Dragon Valley under 5 minutes, you gotta do that with all characters, while in the first game you only had to do it once with the character you like, the rest is optional. This is just my opinion but FP2 felt really "copy and pasted" in comparison to FP1, for example: Especially if you go for 100% like I did for both. But I found the first game not only a better experience in general, but also feels more complete. ![]()
